FRED N. BLODGETT DIES AT HOSPITAL

Well Known Optometrist Had Been ill Six Months; Rites Friday

Boonville, Sept. 24—Fred N. Blodgett, well known optometrist, died this morning in St. Luke's Hospital, Utica, where he had been a patient since Thursday. He had been in ill health tor six months.

He was born in Sandy Creek, June 23, 1867, a son of Samuel Nathan Blodgett and Mary Bartlett Blodgett. On July 14, 1898, he married Miss Pearl Salmon of Glendale. He was a member of Turin Lodge of Masons and attended Boonville Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his widow, are a brother, Malcolm S. Blodgett, Watertown; three nephews, Uri S. and Roy Blodgett, Watertown, and J. E. Blodgett, Carthage; and a niece, Mrs. Ethel Porter Hill, Hackensack, N.J.

Funeral services will be held at his late home on Main St. on Friday at 2 p. m., and interment, in charge of G.E. Enearl, will be made in Glenfield.

Final Rites Held For Fred N. Blodgett

The funeral of Fred N. Blodgett was held Friday afternoon at his late home on Main Street. The Rev. W.A. Gardner of Pulaski officiated; assisted by the Rev. B.J. Davidson, Westernville.

The bearers were Leo Salmon, Donald Salmon, Charles Root, Harold Widemeyer, Grover Salmon, and Ernest Salmon. The body was taken to Greig for burial in Sands Cemetery by Undertaker E.F. Enearl.
