Joseph Majikes, aged 40 [sic-20], of 20 Walnut street, Georgetown, lied [sic- died] at Mercy Hospital yesterday morning at 10 o'clock from injuries he received an hour previously, while employed in the mines of the Franklin colliery of the Lehigh Valley Railroad. He was knocked beneath a trip of moving cars by a premature blast, and had both legs broken and received internal injuries. He is survived by his mother and the following brothers and sisters: Charles, Barney, John, Grant [Sic Frank], Mary and Anna. The funeral will be held from his home, 28 North Walnut street, Saturday morning at 10:30. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated in Holy Trinity Church. Interment in the Lithuanian Cemetery at Georgetown.
