Anita Rusch, age 85, of 3502 Hickory Hills Road, Reedsville, died on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004 at Shady Lane Nursing Home in Manitowoc.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1918 in the town of Rockland, daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Becker) Krueger. She married Elmer Rusch on Dec. 4, 1954 at Reedsville. Anita was a beautician in Brillion and later operated a shop from the home known as Anita's County Side Beauty Salon until her retirement. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion, the United Methodist Women, the Viking Rosemalers, the Maple Rock Homemakers; she was president of the Manitowoc County Farm Bureau Women and was instrumental in starting the Mass Farm Bureau contest in Manitowoc County.
Survivors include her husband: Elmer: a sister: Esther Krueger of Burbank, Calif.; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Dorothy and Fred "Dub" Archibald of Hurley, N.M.; Bernadine (Bunny) Rusch of Green Bay; John Conway of Spokane, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Leonard Krueger, Herbert Krueger and Milan Krueger; and four sisters: Lydia Hebermann, Amanda Kindschy, Adelia Habermann and Hilda Fischer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion. The Rev. Susan Gaul will officiate. Burial will be at Zion Evergreen Cemetery in Reedsville. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
