He was preceded in death by his first wife on Jan, 31. 1963. He was married to Esther Bremner Dec. 14, 1963. in Grinnell, and they made their home in Marshalltown. Mr. Arment was a member of the Moose Lodge of Marshalltown.
Survivors include his wife Esther; a daughter, Mrs, Keith (Charlotte) Bailey of Des Moines: two sons, Gerald and Duane, both of Grinnell; 13 grandchildren: 7 great-grandchildren; five brothers: Francis of Grinnell, Howard of Fort Collins Colo., Merle of Searsboro, John of
Toledo, and Austin of Montour; sister, Ethel Lane of New Sharon; four stepchildren, Mrs. Paul Robinson of Saudi Arabia, Mrs. Ray Langdon of Roswell, George H. Bremner of Alamagordo, N.M., and Earl Dean Bremner of Downers Grove, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
