Mr. Doyce Breland

Mathiston, MS

Mr. Doyce Breland, 88, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at N. MS Medical Center in Eupora. Funeral services were at 4:00 pm Wednesday, August 15 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Choctaw County with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, August 14 at 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Rev. William Weddle and Rev. Ralph Cain officiated.

Mr. Breland was retired from Babcock and Wilcox in West Point. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Festus and Naomi Breland; sisters, Johnnie Watkins and Mildred Henry; brother, Orville Breland ;and great grandson, Timothy Cole Pruden.

He is survived by his wife, Annice Henry Breland of Mathiston; daughter, Linda (Gary) Chesser of Starkville; sons, Doyce Warren (Barbara) Breland of Muskogee, OK, Ricky (Kathy) Breland of Mathiston, Michael Breland of Tyler, TX; sister, Gola (Doug) Gilliland of Ackerman; brother, Dale (Rena) Breland of Tupelo; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Daniel Chesser, Brian Breland, Taylor Norwood, Brody White, Tanner Hardy, and Zach Chesser. Honorary Pallbearers were Kenny Davis, Mike Sanderson, and Logan White.

Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of arrangements.
