He died at his home following an illness of several months.

Surviving were a daughter, Ann Walsh, Toledo; a son, Richard, Bowling Green; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Mae Weinandy, Toledo.

Weinandy retired in 1974 after more than 30 years as a service man for the former Whitey and Lafferty Appliance store. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 698, Findlay. He also was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus Pope Leo 23rd General Assembly, Findlay, for 30 years.
