Pinkney Kendrix
CLAYTON, Ga. - Pinkney Kendrix, 72, of Rt. 1, Tiger, died late Monday morning in Ridge Crest Hospital, Clayton, after a long illness.
He was a native of Rabun County, a son of the late Willis M. and Zinia Nelson Kendrix and had spent most of his life in Rabun County.
He was a retired school bus driver and a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are widow, Mrs. Cora Moore Kendrix of Tiger; sons, Howard Kendrix of Lakemont, Manuel Kendrix of Tiger; daughters, Mrs. Harold Smith of Tiger; brother, Paul W. Kendrix of Clarkesville; sisters, Mrs. Judson Moore of Clarkesville, Mae Moore of Anderson, S.C.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Wiley Presbyterian Church by the Rev. J.C. Quilliams and Baptist Layman Lloyd Hunter. Burial in the Wiley Cemetery.
