She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Boone. Miss Lyons was born March 28, 1906 in Caldwell County, to James Sanford and Lillie Hartley Lyons. She was a housekeeper and a retired retail clothing sales woman.
Surviving are four brothers, three sisters, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kelley Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Reverends Roger Williams, Herbert Hash and Robert Young. Burial will follow in the Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens,
Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.
