John Kordek (1934-1934) was the infant son of Frank J. Kordek (1898-1973), a Maryland native, and Ulane [Youlonge] Broussard (1905-1998), who was born at Lafayette, Louisiana to Danatien Broussard and Maie Ida Brousard. The Kordeks married in Harrison County, Mississippi on April 16, 1923. They were the parents of five children: Mary Rita Kordek (b. 1924) m. Eugene Paul Wiltz ; Gus Kordek (1927-1996); Theresa Kordek (b. 1929) m. George W. Gilbert Jr.; John Kordek (1934-1934); and Lucille Jesse Kordek (b. 1941?) m. John Kenneth Senseney. The family was domiciled at 308 Pine Street and Mr. Kordek made his livelihood as a commercial fisherman.
