George B. Tucker married Margaret ‘Peggy' Cline/Kline/Klein on April 25, 1810 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Margaret is the daughter of Valentine Cline/Kline/Klein and Anna Gertrout Cansler/Kensler.

George and Margaret are the parents of the following:
Rebecca Tucker (never married)
Vardry Tucker, husband of Amanda Calhoun
Elenor Tucker, wife of William P. Kyle
Linnie N. Tucker, wife of Gustin Turner Campbell
Temperance H. ‘Tempy' Tucker, wife of William M. Clark
Minerva Charity Tucker, wife of Richard Asbury Bee and Edward Malone
Lourainey Tucker, wife of William M. Bee
Daniel A. Tucker, husband of Amenia Davis and Julia Ann Unknown
George Washington Tucker, husband of Mary Jane Smith
Martin Rufus Tucker, husband of Hibernia Doyle and Mary Yarbrough
John R. C. Tucker.

Chancery Court, File Box T-4 Case 4727 indicates George B. Tucker died in Giles County in the year 1859. The 1850 Census lists George B. Tucker living in Giles County, Tennessee. The 1860 Census does not list George B. Tucker.

The following added by R. Cansler (47412994):

The George B. Tucker estate settlement was not completed until March 16, 1893 (Giles County, Tn. March Term, Settlements Volume 6 - 1890 to 1893, Page 425). The partial Settlement record of 8/4/1869 lists various previous settlements starting in 2/1/1862. It also indicates that the Administration of the estate was authorized by the Court on February 1, 1860. The partial Settlements record of 7/12/1889 records the sale of the personal property of Margaret Tucker on 10/20/1887 and indicated she had deceased.

The March 16, 1893 final Settlements record also shows that a tombstone was purchased and paid for on December 25, 1890. Based on the dates, one could assume that the family intended the tombstone to be for both George and Margaret.

What is amazing is that the Will of George B. Tucker written October 25, 1859 was not probated for nearly 30 years after George had died ( Probated September 26, 1887). The court had authorized the administration of the estate in February of 1860 but apparently had not probated the Will at that time. Giles County Chancery Court Records may shed some light on any lawsuits during the intervening years that may have drug out the estate settlement. The final Settlements record of 1893 does list a Chancery Court line item. The War may have had some impacts also.
