WILSON - Pearl M. Wilson, the daughter of Elisha D. and Elizabeth Cole Hickle, was born on April 1, 1886, in Lucas County, Iowa, and passed away at the McCord Rest Haven in Chariton on January 18, 1969, having reached the age of 82 years, nine months and 16 days.
She was raised and educated in Lucas County and has lived all her life here, except for two years spent in Kansas. She was united with the Evangelistic Church in early womanhood.
On August 15, 1903 she was united in marriage to Warren Wilson. To this union 11 children were born. She is survived by her husband, Warren, and by 10 of her children, five daughters and five sons: Mrs. Merle Thompson, Mrs. Russell Burgett and Mrs. Hazel Smith, all of Chariton, Mrs. Lela Andrews of Russell, Mrs. Margaret Caylor of California, Lloyd and Dwight of Chariton, Lindsey of Albuquerque, N.M., Walter of Latimer, and Glenn of Russell.
She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by one son in infancy.
She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.
Services were held from the Miley and Brueggemann Chapel on Tuesday, January 21, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. C. E. Stanley officiating. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
