Mrs. Mary A. Holek, 85, of Milan Township died this morning in her home.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Stevens Funeral Home, where a scripture vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. George Dubowski will officiate and burial will be in Marble Park Cemetery.

Born June 28, 1899, in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of Fabian and Apolena (Check) Benedict. She married John Holek Sr. in August, 1921, in Ohio. He preceded her in death.

She was employed by the former Wolverine Plastics, retiring in 1958.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Surviving are a son, John A. of Milan; a daughter, Mrs. Philip (Emily) Bowerman of Milan; three brothers, Steve Benedict of Milan, Frank Benedict of Toledo and Joseph Benedict of Clermont, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Frances Sekerka of Oregon, Ohio; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
