Betty J. Davis Hawkins, age 81, passed away January 16, 2001 in Murray City, Utah.
She was born May 24, 1919 in Billings, Montana to Edwin Sloan Davis and Louise Davis. Married Jack B. Hawkins Jan. 26, 1946 in Evanston, Wyoming. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. She graduated from Billings High School and graduated in nurses training at Deaconess General Hospital. She was a member of Business Women's Club.
Betty was an O.R. Nurse at the V.A. Hospital for 27 years, where she met many wonderful friends. She was active in Cub Scouts and church; loved all kinds of music and liked to dance. She also liked to bowl and was in a bowling league, which was called the Goof Balls. Betty also liked our Sunday morning brunches and get-togethers at Mobil Home Country Club Friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather; three brothers; one stepsister, Winifred Williams; and sister, Delores.
She will be missed by all who loved her, including her husband, Jack; three sons:
Raymond W., Robert W., Michael J. and wife, Cindy A. Hawkins; three nieces and one nephew; three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons.
The family would like to express their many thanks for all the help of Sandra Reynolds and the many people at Heritage Hospice of Bountiful.
