GAS CITY -- Ermadell M. Strausbaugh, 84, died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Oak Health Care, Marion.

She was born in Marion, the daughter of the late John W. and Venita Olive (Melton) Stinnett. She married Wayne M. Strausbaugh on Oct. 22, 1941.

Mrs. Strausbaugh had lived in Gas City for more than 50 years. She retired from the former Glaze Hardware, Gas City, and worked part-time at the Journal Reporter. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Surviving are sons, Wayne D. (Pat) Strausbaugh, Palm City, Fla., James E. and David A. Strausbaugh, both of Gas City, and Kevin R. (Deb) Strausbaugh, Atlanta, Ind.; brothers, John (Helen) Stinnett, Fort Wayne, and Merrill Stinnett, Marion; sisters, Elizabeth E. Storms and Nellie McKevitt, both of Marion, and Venita Blake, Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., with the Rev. Robyn Axel-Adams officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park cemetery, Marion.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
