WARREN - Elizabeth E. Storms, 88, formerly of Hartford City, died at 7:00 a.m. at her residence at Heritage Pointe in Warren. She was born in Marion to John and Venita (Melton) Stinnett, and they preceded her in death. She married Elmer L. Storms on September 22, 1940, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2006.
She was a former employee of Bell Fibre Products of Marion for 10 years and was also a homemaker. Elizabeth was a former resident of Hartford City, Ind., Chicago, Ill., and Wyoming Mich., and lived most of her life in Marion, Indiana. She was a member of the Grant County Chapter of the Good Sam's Club. She loved her home and cooking. She especially enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies for her family. She was an avid gardener.
Survivors include son, Gary (Joan) Storms, Sandy Hook, Conn.; brother, John (Helen) Stinnett, Ind., Merrill Stinnett, Marion; sister, Venita Blake, Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Daniel and Michelle.
Elizabeth was also preceded in death by daughter, Ann E. Storms who died in 2001; brothers, Delbert Stinnett, and Bernard Stinnett; sisters, Ermadell Strausbaugh and Nellie Mae McKevitt.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. at Twin City Bible Baptist Church, 7252 S. Meridian Street, Jonesboro, with Pastor Dale Schuiteman officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 East Main St., Gas City.
