Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Pavilion at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Mark Simmons, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
Effie was born on July 14, 1935 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Samuel H. and Bertie E. (Caswell) Williams. On February 1, 1964 she married George Hill in Henrietta. Effie was a devoted member of Jan Lee Baptist Church. She worked for Rexall Drug Store for 19 years. In her spare time, Effie enjoyed playing Shuffle Board and going dancing on Friday nights.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Hill; her son, Marty Hill; six sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her best friend and caregiver, Randell Brown of Vernon; two nieces, Shirley Shaw and husband Harley of Burkburnett, and Diane Isaacs and husband Howard of Thornberry; her step-son, Alvin Hill and wife Paula of Wichita Falls; step-daughters, Dianna Reilly of Friendswood, and Janece Jebe and husband Fred of Blue Mound, Illinois; sister-in-law, Mary Williams of Euless; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
