CARLSBAD--A funeral service for Felis F. Carrasco Sr., 80, of Sandyridge, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Assembly of God, with Pastor Ralph Moats officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. today at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel.
Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Felis Carrasco died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Mr. Carrasco was born April 17, 1922, in Malaga to Presiliano and Porfidia Carrasco. He was educated in the Malaga and Carlsbad school systems. During his youth, he helped out with the family farm and also enjoyed hunting. He was recognized as an expert marksman by winning several events. In 1943, he married Erminia Trujillo, who preceded him in death in 1973, They were married for 31 years and blessed with six children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one son, Fabian I.
Survivors include sons Felix Carrasco Jr. and wife, Catalina, of Carlsbad, Fabian Carrasco and wife Rosemary, of Carlsbd, Jerry Carrasco and wife Priscilla, of Carlsbad; daughters Cynthia Duran and husband Juan Manual, of Carlsbad, and Cathy Carrasco, of Carlsbad; brother Tiburcio Carrasco, of Carlsbad; sisters Benita Gonzalez, of Carlsbad, Julia Lobez and husband Juan, of Artesia, Esperanza Calderon and husband Epifanio, of Loving, and Epifania Gaffney and husband Malcolm, of Valencia, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
