Mrs. G. Gerdes Dies at Age 65
Mrs. George H. Gerdes, 65, of 1007 Eighth Street South, died in a Fargo hospital at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
She was born on December 22, 1874 in Gilman, Illinois. On March 17, 1893, she was married to Mr. Gerdes, now a retired Northern Pacific warehouse employee. She was the former Elizbeth Cassidy. Mrs. Gerdes was a member of St. Anthony's church here, and active in church activites. She was a member of WRC. She came to Fargo in October 1917.
She leaves Mr. Gerdes; a daughter, Mrs. J.F. Remore of Duluth; and three sons, Frank of Wenatchee, Washington, George, 721 Fourth Street North, and Harvey, 1007 Eighth Street South. Eight sisters and four brothers reside in Gilman.
The body will lie in state at the Boulger and Hughes funeral home today until afternoon, then be taken to Gilman. Services will be in St. Mary's Church at Gilman Saturday.
