Mr. Frank was born in Norfolk. He had retired from Hunt-Wesson Foods and was formerly employed with the Norfolk Police Department. He was a member of Pembroke Congregational Christian Church, Tidewater Food Dealers Association and Grocery Manufacturers Retail Association.
He was a US Army Veteran of WWII who Served in the 94th Infantry Division with Cannon Company of the 301 Infantry Regiment, in Northern France, Ardennes, Germany, Luxembourg, and Czechoslovakia as part of Patton's Third Army. Was a recipient of the Purple Heart and other medals. A wonderful husband, father, brother and friend will be missed dearly.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie L. Frank; two daughters, Deborah Teicher of Coral Springs, Fla., and Tammy Wakefield of Virginia Beach; three sons, Conrad Frank Jr. and William Frank, both of Norfolk, and Charles Frank of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Maxine White of Virginia Beach and Norma Whitaker of Orange Park, Fla.; a brother, Arthur Frank of Norfolk; and four grandchildren, Ian and Emily Frank of Norfolk and Justin and Amber Teicher of Coral Springs.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Pembroke Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. Arthur Knauer. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens where military honors will be accorded. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m., and will gather to receive friends following the service at 1356 Beacons Reach Drive, Virginia Beach.
