Daughter of Charles Leverette and Annie Bonham Shand Adams.

COLUMBIA - Anne Shand Adams Terreni, 87, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Leverett and Annie Shand Adams. She graduated from the University of S.C. where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She received a Master's Degree in microbiology from Duke University and taught at the Medical University of South Carolina. In 1955, she married Renato Terreni in Bergamo, Italy and lived abroad for 22 years. In 1974, she and Renato moved to Columbia She is retired from SCDHEC, where she worked in the micology laboratory. She was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are her husband, Admiral Renato Gastone Terreni; son, Charles Leverett Adams Terreni (Patricia) of Columbia; two grandchildren, Charles Leverett Adams Terreni Jr. and Robert Shand Terreni; sister-in-law, Jole Terreni; her aunt, Patience Chappell; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 900 Calhoun Street, Columbia, SC 29201
