SUDDEN DEATH OF PALOMA WOMAN

Mrs. Wilbur McNeall Summoned Last Night at Family Home - Quincy - Relatives Shocked by News of Death

Mrs. Ella McNeall, wife of Wilber H. McNeall, rural mail carrier of Paloma, died at her home in Paloma last night at 8:30 o'clock after a brief illness. She had been in her usual health and was not known to be ill even by relatives in this city until last evening just a short time before news of her death was received.

A son, Charles H. McNeall, of 721 1/2 Broadway, and wife visited at the home of his mother last Sunday and at that time she was in good health. A message summoning them to her bedside last night came as a great surprise, and before they reached Paloma, she had died.

Mrs. McNeall was born near Columbus on April 2, 1868, and had always lived in the county where she had a large circle of friends who will be shocked to learn of her sudden passing.

Besides her husband and the son, Charles McNeall, of this city, there are two daughters, Misses Pearl and Erma, at home. Her mother, Mrs. Adam Rutledge, of this city, and five sisters and two brothers survive also. The sisters are Mrs. R.E. McNeall and Mrs. C.B. Cannon of this city; Mrs. Clarence Allen of Columbus; Mrs. R.I. Fisher, Creede, Colo., and Mrs. Perry Patterson, South Dakota; and the brothers are Derwood Rutledge of this city and Frank Rutledge of Camp Point.
