Harry Gosser, Sr., 15 South Market, died Monday night at 9:45 o'clock at St. Mary's hospital. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Gosser was born April 30, 1871, in Pennsylvania, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Gosser. He and Harriett Dobson were married December 18, 1897, in Fillmore, Neb. He came to Emporia in 1907.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Harriett Gosser, of Plymouth; three sons, James Gosser, Richard Gosser and Harry Gosser, Jr. of Rt. 5, Emporia; and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Smith, of Saffordville, and Mrs. Clinton Shown, 704 Garfield.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue chapel. The Rev. J.C. Brogan, pastor of the Admire Methodist church, was in charge. Erwin Gile sang accompanied by Mrs. Glenn A. Blue.

Pallbearers were Martin Pederson, Ed Sielert, Drew Drummond, Miles Dixon, S.N. Carter and Tom McCurry. Burial was in Cottonwood cemetery.

Out-of-town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, Paul Smith, Harold Smith, Johnnie Smith, of Saffordville; Mrs. Harriett Gosser, of Plymouth; Herbert Gosser, of Allen; and Miss Dorothy Carpenter, of Cassoday.
