Mrs. Harriette E. Gosser, Rt. 5, Emporia, died Sunday noon at Newman Memorial County hosp.
Services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue chapel. The Rev. J.C. Brogan will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery west of Emporia.
Mrs. Gosser was born January 6, 1868, at Grafton, Neb., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dobson. She and Harry D. Gosser were married December 8, 1896, in Geneva, Neb. They came to Kansas in 1908 from Fillmore county in 1912 and lived at Plymouth. Mr. Gosser died in Emporia March 13, 1950. One daughter, Harriett, preceded her in death in December, 1922.
Survivors are three sons, Richard Gosser and Harry Gosser, of the home, and James S. Gosser, Rt. 5, Emporia, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Smith, of Saffordville, and Mrs. Clinton Shown, 943 Grand; two brothers, Joseph Dobson, of Puyallup, Wash., and Richard Dobson, od Lincoln, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Alexander, Puyallup, Wash., Mrs. Ruth Ackland, of Geneva, Neb., Mrs. Rhoda Wilds, of Grafton, Neb.; nine granddaughters, 12 grandsons, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist church.
