Lula was the daughter of Carl W Willison and Sadie A Scaman Willison. She was the first born of 8 children. She married Henry E Brandsrud and began their life together in Lake City, SD. Henry was employed by a lumber yard and Lula was working in the local dry goods store. Henry and Lula had 4 children all born in South Dakota. Three girls and a boy. Henry and Lula went to Minneapolis, Minnesota and then Wisconsin for the fall and winter season in 1922. They moved to Spokane and then Bellingham after 1932.
