The following written by daughter Lobay willison Groves: Mom was a stay at home mom, but she told me she did work outside the home before I was born. My dad was a farmer and log truck driver as I was growing up in Bellingham. We also lived on the Berry farm in Everson and dad worked at the Bellingham Plumbing Supply Company, mom worked the berry farm doing all the work, except the tractor, and heavy work , which dad did. I had the best life as a child. Mom was a great seamstress, Dad was a very fun man to be around, he always loved his parents & brothers & sisters, we had a very close family. We were at the grandparents or went to Aunt Verena and Uncle Frank's a lot. We also went to Uncle Cal's for a visit at least twice a month or they came to our place when they lived in Bellingham.

Gordon, left home to join the navy, when he graduated from high school, He was 17 and I was 3 at the time. Beverly left home to get married at 18 and I was 8 at that time. (bio added by aritha buss)
