Lorraine was in the US Navy and drove a truck. She and her sister Harriet also worked in a factory making ships during the war. She went back to Bellingham, WA and decided she wanted to be a pilot. The instructor was Duane Chamberlain, who she ended up getting married too. They lived in California most of their married life. She was cremated and there is a plaque at the base of her parents grave as a memorial. They had two children.(bio added by aritha buss)
