ALLPORT - Louis J. Anderson, 85-year-old prominent Allport resident, died at his home Thursday, April 10, following a short illness. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born in Dalsland, Sweden, May 10, 1862, he came to this country in 1885. In 1888 he moved to Allport where he has lived since then.
He is survived by his wife, Ida, and the following four children:
Elmer Anderson, Detroit, Michigan; Mrs. Signe Showalter, Philipburg; Walter Anderson, Albany, New York and Anna Anderson at home. A sister Crhristina, 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be held from the Allport Methodist Church, of which he was a member, Saturday afternoon, April 12 at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. R. E. Raycroft officiating. Interment will be in the Allport cemetery.
