Ruby C. Bish, 88, of Coatesville, formerly of Knox RD 2, died early Friday morning, December 12, 2003, at Brandywine Hospital in Caln, Chester County. Born on December 8, 1915, in Knox, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Alberta Berlin Garris. Mrs. Bish was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, where she and her husband acted as caretakers. She had been a member of Wentling's Corners Community Center. Mrs. Bish was married on January 25, 1942, to Ted Bish, who preceded her in death on May 28, 1993. She is survived by a sister, Mildred Shoup, of Sharpsburg, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bish was preceded in death by two brothers, Ivan and Chester Garris, and a sister, Mary Sopher. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at William N. Rupert Mortuary, Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Dunmire officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Union Cemetery.
