Evidently Lafayette 'Pete' died sometime after the 1930 census and there is no mention of him in 1940. He was a farmer with land in Pea Ridge Township before moving to the City of Mt. Sterling with his wife Mary A. Grey. Evidently he purchased a plot in Mounds Cemetery where we assume they are buried along with his son Eli Oscar and his family.
