James Albertus "Poss" Mudd, 67, of Raywick died at 12:25 a.m. June 1, 1980, at National Health Enterprise Nursing Health Enterprise Nursing Home in Louisville. Mr. Mudd was a retired farmer and school bus driver in Marion County. He was the son of the late Albert and Margaret Nalley Mudd and a native of Springfield. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Teresa Viona Cravens Mudd; two daughters, Mrs. Rackie (Margaret Ann) Wright of Springfield and Mrs. Marcus (Catherine Zulene) Goff of Raywick; two brothers Maurice Mudd of Louisville and Theo Mudd of Raywick. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. June 3 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev Thomas Caldwell officiated. Pallbearers were Phillip Smith, Lewis Mudd, Jr., Ned Morris, Charlie Bickett, Michael Drury, and Joseph Kelly. Prayer services were conducted at 8 p.m. on June 2 at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto. They were in charge of arrangements.
