Mrs. Lula Endicott Dies in Pittsburg

Mrs. Lula Jane Endicott, 83, widow of William R. Endicott and longtime Pittsburg resident, died at 2:05 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alonzo Forrester, in Pittsburg. She had been in poor health seven years and was seriously ill the past few weeks.
Born Jan. 23, 1876 at Medford, Ky., Mrs. Endicott was married at Humansville, Mo., on July 23, 1893. The couple moved to Pittsburg from Humansville in 1908. Mr. Endicott died April 9, 1941.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. A. E. Gillenwater and Mrs. Alta Vessadini, both of Kansas City, Kans., and Mrs. Forrester; five sons, Fred Endicott of Pittsburg, Stanley Endicott, Santa Ana, Calif., Loren Endicott, Walnut, Homer Endicott, Weir, and Donald Endicott, Kansas City, Kans.; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Cooper, Las Animas, Colo; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 Friday afternoon in the Ellsworth Chapel in Pittsburg with the Rev. Clyde J. Askins officiating. Interment will be in the Girard cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home.
