MRS. J. D. HARPER.

Sara Anna Bishop was born in St. Clair county, Missouri, October 4, 1880 and departed this life December 12, 1918, age 38 years, 2 months, and 8 days.
She was married to John D. Harper November 18, 1896. To this union was born six children: Mrs. Ina L. Morris of Englevale, Kansas; Fayne[sic], Ralph, Violet, Pansy, and Merle; all at home.
In February 1905 the family moved from Missouri to the farm northeast of Girard and have made their home there ever since. Several months ago the dreaded White Plague fastened itself upon her. Every effort for relief was made without avail, and she passed quietly to rest.
She leaves besides her companion and children, her aged mother, Mrs. Amanda Bishop, of Humansville, Mo.; four brothers: Amos and W. C., of Humansville, Mo.; David D., Flemington, Mo.; and George of Rock Ford, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Lulu[sic] Endicott of Girard; Mrs. Mary Endicott, Humansville, Mo.; and Mrs. Lizzie Turpin, Girard; and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn their loss in her going.
Funeral services were held in the home Saturday afternoon, at one o'clock, conducted by W. E. Babb and interment made in Union Center cemetery. A large gathering of neighbors and friends showed their esteem and sympathy by their attendance and helpfulness.
