This gravestone was probably purchased about 1894. It was at this time that the original cemetery which was on Sandhill Road, was moved to what is now Pioneer Cemetery. Loren Jeptha and my grandfather, Jacob provided teams of horses to help move the bodies to their new resting site. In turn, they were given cemetery plots. It is assumed that Loren Jeptha was responsible for the purchase of these gravestones. The identical type of gravestone which stands for Polly and Aaron, was purchased for Daniel and Hiram, as well as Loren Jeptha and Eliza Baker. As to Aaron's year of birth, he had already been gone for 52 years and I am sure the year 1800 they thought was close enough to his actual year of birth 1793.
