CHATSWORTH - The funeral for Irene Runyon, 86, of Fairbury, formerly of Chatsworth, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The Rev. Stanley Rapp will officiate. Burial will be in Chatsworth Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service today at the memorial home.
She died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday (March 30, 1999) at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Memorials may be made to Fairview Haven Nursing Home.
Mrs. Runyon was born June 1, 1912, in Wing, Pleasant Ridge Township, Livingston County, a daughter of Henry and Mary C. Besgrove Lear. She married Roscoe Runyon on Jan. 2, 1942, in Morganfield, Ky. He died Dec. 15, 1992.
Survivors include one sister, Goldie Gillette, Streator.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
She formerly was employed at the Piper City Locker Plant.
