Margaret Alcorn, daughter of James and Margaret (McDowell) Alcorn, married Samuel Washington Kerr, son of James and Margy (Alcorn) Kerr. Her husband, Samuel Washington Kerr, was the brother of Jane Kerr, who married Margaret's brother, Andrew Alcorn.

Margaret is buried in the Alcorntown (Old Alcorn) cemetery, but there is no headstone for her.
