JOHNSTON, S.C. - Mrs. Louise B. "Ease" Adams of Calhoun Street, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Edgefield County Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at 11 a.m. Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Rev. Lowell Clark officiating. Mrs. Adams, widow of J.W. Adams was a native of North Carolina and was retired owner of Piggly Wiggly in Johnston. She was one of the original Founding Couples of Persimmon Hill Golf Club. An avid golfer at both Persimmon Hill and Pine Ridge Country Club, she was well known for her putting ability and short but accurate shots. She was a Presbyterian. Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Guy Nell and Billy Ward, Jo Ann and Larry Bedenbaugh, both of Johnston and Pat Oliver and Jimmy Carpenter, Durham, N.C.; a sister, Evelyn Mishoe, Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren, Dottie Endreryi, Mitchell Herring, Chris Herring, Tara Scroggs, Stacy Cline, Adam Bedenbaugh, Alex Bedenbaugh; nine great-grandchildren. Also special friends and employees of Edgefield County Hospital. Predeceased by two brothers, Danny and James Barfield and a grandson, Phil Herring. Memorials may be made to Dry Creek Baptist Church or Johnston First Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Jo Ann Bedenbaugh, 200 Calhoun Street, Johnston tonight from 6 until 8. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
