Mrs. Elizabeth Dana, widow of Thomas Dana, of this city, died on Tuesday of pneumonia at her apartments, The Empire, 333 Commonwealth avenue, Boston. She was born in Springfield, Vt., October 14, 1811. and married her cousin, Thomas Dana, of Quincy, a prominent Boston merchant in his time. He died about 27 years ago.
Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at her late home. Rev. Edward Cummings, pastor of the South Congregational Church, officiated. There were present only the immediate relatives and friends of the deceased. The burial was in the family lot at Mount Auburn Cemetery.

She was the daughter of Thomas Dana and Betsey (Davis) Dana. Her husband's father was John Dana, brother of Thomas Dana.
