Paducah resident Juanita Chaney, 90, passed away Saturday, Aug 11, 2012 in Lubbock, TX A memorial service in Lubbock and interment in Paducah will be announce by the family at a later date.
Juanita was born Aug 21, 1921 in Preston, OK to Henry and Rosie Keys. She moved to Paducah and married Aaron Eugene Chaney in 1938. Together they farmed and raised their family in the country living way of life. Juanita became widowed at the age of 35. She was a strong willed lady and continued managing and working the family farm for many years. Her goal in life was to remain independent and do a good job taking care of her 7 children and the family farm. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and a well respected member of the Paducah community.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 19 years Aaron Eugene Chaney 1 son - Curtis Eugene Chaney, and 2 sisters - Lorella Chaney and Vivian Sadoy. She is survived by 5 sisters - Chris Neal of Lubbock, Katherine Potter of Pampa, Ruby Springfield of Lubbock, Dorothy Silver of Tupelo, MS, Hazel Beauchamp of Plainview, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a wealth of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
