died Thursday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at St John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc the Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Zastrow was born Leona Heinemann Oct. 8, 1902, in the Town of Chase, Oconto
County, daughter of the late Louis and Augusta Fischer Heinemann and attended
schools in the area. She came to Manitowoc in 1922 and was employed at Mirro
Aluminum Co. She was married to Edward Zastrow Sept. 5, 1936, at Manitowoc and
the couple made its home here. She was a member of St. John United Church of
Christ and the Ladies Guild and sewing circle of the church.
Survivors include a son William, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Leonard Provost,
Mrs. John Mielke, Mrs. Richard Wernecke and Mrs. Werner Wernecke all of
Manitowoc and Mrs. Ray Wernecke of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Ervin of Manitowoc
and several nieces and nephews. Her husband preceded her in death in 1958. A
sister also preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 11
a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will be
in state until the hour of service.
