MARIE ZABEL
Mrs. Ferdinand Zabel, aged 58, died at her home at 408 State street, early
this morning, death coming with no warning, Mrs. Zabel, having suffered a
stroke of apoplexy. The deceased was born in Manitowoc and made her home in
this city most of her life, with exception of a few years at Reedsville.
Besides her husband, four of the seven children that were born to them survive.
They are Mrs. William McKenzie of Milwaukee, Mrs. Frank Kraus of Green Bay,
John and Fred of this city. She also leaves five brothers and three sisters,
Mrs. Frank Rousch of Shawnao, Mrs. George Gisch of Suring, Mrs. August
Birkholtz of Reedsville, Emil and John of Shawano, Ferdinand, Jr., of Medford,
William of Washington, D.C. and Albert of Marshfield. Five grandchildren also
mourn her death.
Funeral services will be held from the Lutheran church Wednesday at 2 o'clock,
with burial at Evergreen, the Rev. Machmiller officiating.
