DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME HERE
Mrs. William Zabel, 44, Stricken Early Monday Night
Mrs. William Zabel, 44, died suddenly of a heart attack late Monday afternoon
at the home, 1121?? South 21st street, Mrs. Zabel had been about the house
during the day and was stricken shortly before the supper hour.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm. from the home of a sister,
Mrs. John Ording, 1220 South 17th street, and at two o'clock at the First
German Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Husband Survives
Mrs. Zabel, whose maiden name was Miss Ida Ullmann, was born in Montpelier,
Kewaunee county, in 1891 and was married to William Zabel in Gibson 24 years
ago. They lived at Waupun for four years, spent the next ten years in Gibson
and came to this city in 1926.
Survivors are the widower; a daughter, Gloria, city; mother Mrs. Luzina Ullmann,
Gibson; two brothers, Albert, Tisch Mills, Julius Gibson; three sisters, Mrs.
John Ording, and Mrs. Alvin Johnson, city, and Mrs. Paul Steinburg, Ripon, Wis.
The body will be moved to the John Ording home Wednesday afternoon from the
Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home.
