CLARA WOTRUBA

Mrs. Joseph Wotruba, 59, of 1824 Maple St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home and at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. E.A.
Radey will officeate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Clara Jost was born Aug. 10, 1906, in the Town of Centerville,
Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Zimmer Jost.
She attended St. Wendel Parochial School and was married to Joseph Wotruba at
St. Wendel Catholic Church Oct. 27, 1924. The couple resided three years at
Cleveland and then came to Manitwoc.
Mrs. Wotruba had been employed at Zannacker’s Cleaners Inc., and Holy Family
Hospital and had been a member of Holy Family Hospital Guild and Christian
Mothers Altar Society of Holy Innocents Church.
Surviving are her husband, three sons, Gerald of Green Bay and Gordon and Fred
of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Margaret) Duenkel and Miss Mary Lou
Wotruba of Manitowoc; a brother, Edward Jost of Cleveland; a sister, Mrs. Paul
Hessel of Wausau and 14 grandchildren. A daughter died in 1949 and a brother
and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will
be recited at 7:30 p.m.
