Mrs. William Wienke, 83, of LaCrosse, a former Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday
at a daughter’s home in Wauwatosa after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home
and 3:15 p.m. at the First German Evangelical Lutheran church, the Rev. Walter
Gutzke of La Cross officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Wienke was born Charlotte Conrad in Manitowoc Rapids in 1865. She and her
husband moved to LaCrosse about 30 years ago. Mr. Wienke died in 1925.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. M J. Domm of Wauwatosa, Mrs. Adelia
Sherd of Wisconsin Dells, Mr. Arthur Gerhardt of Big Stone, S.D. and Arline
Wienke of Los Angeles; and three sons, Adolph of Baldwinvile, N.Y., Elmer of
St. Paul, Minn., and Arthur of Milwaukee.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Friday non until time of
services.
