ADELA WIENKE
Mrs. Louis Wienke, 71, of 806 N. Eleventh St., Manitowoc, died Monday at
Manitowoc County Hospital following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran
Church , Newtonburg, the Rev. A. T. Degner officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Wienke was born Adela Ella Gaedke, July 8, 1894, in the Town of Maple Grove,
daughter of the late Herman and Lilly Kruse Gaedke. She was married Sept. 27,
1917, to Mr. Wienke at Wayside, Brown County. The couple farmed in the Town of
Liberty, moving to Manitowoc in 1961.
Surviving are the husband, a brother, Herman, of Delavan and a sister, Mrs.
Martha Lierman, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc. A brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m.
Wednesday until noon Thursday and then at the church.
