MAXINE VOLLRATH

Maxine "Micky" Strzyzewski Vollrath, age 73, of 719 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc,
entered eternal life on Dec. 24 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Maxine was born June 23, 1936, in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late
Harry and Ann Zimmermann Ziarnik. On Jan. 24, 1959, she married George "Sambo"
Strzyzewski at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded
her in death on July 4, 1986. She later married James Vollrath on May 2, 1998,
at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Micky was a long-time
member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her passion was playing
bingo at Oneida, where she found her soul mate Jim, who she later married.
She is survived by her loving husband of 11 years: Jim; three children: Lori (Jon) Thompson, Manitowoc; Tim Strzyzewski, Manitowoc; Todd Strzyzewski, Manitowoc; special friend: Elaine Duvall, Manitowoc; one sister: Lynn Hutchison and special friend Dave Kurth, Manitowoc; one brother: Dale (Kathy) Ziarnik, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Michael (Cassie) Schmidt; Christopher Schmidt; Joshua Thompson; Lexi Thompson; Nicholas and Noah Strzyzewski; three great-grandchildren: Kylie, Kyra and Kayden; four step children: Michael (Sharon) Vollrath, Fond du Lac; Kevin Vollrath, Grafton; Melody Gottowski, De Pere; Darcy Vollrath and special friend, Mic, Sheboygan; five stepgrandchildren: Jessie Voll_____; one step great-granddaughter: Morgan; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends and her two precious cats; Peanut and Peepers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: George "Sambo" Strzyzewski in
1986.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at First
German Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1033 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc. Officiating
will be the Rev. David Rosenow with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home
on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. and then at the church on Wednesday
from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets,
Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
