Notes from Melnik:
Wencil Wacek(sic), aged 54 years, an old resident of Kossuth died Saturday
evening at the hospital at Manitowoc. He was born in Bohemia and came to this
country with his mother, three brothers and a sister in 1874. The family settled
on a farm in Kossuth and shortly after arrival here Mr. Wacek got married and
had resided here ever since. He is survived by two sons, Joseph of Taylor County
and Fred, whose whereabouts is unknown. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery at Manitowoc. Henry Cizek of Reiff Mills
gave the funeral oration.
