Mrs. Mary Wacek(sic), 87, a resident of city and county for more than 65 years,
died Sunday morning at the home of Mrs. Blanche Strouf, with whom she made her
home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Wacek, nee Mary Neskota, was born in Bohemia in 1863 and at the age of 2?
accompanied her parents to this country. She was married in Kossuth to Wencel
Wacek and they located on a farm in the town. In later years they moved to this
city. Mr. Wacek died 12 years ago. Two children were born to the couple, both of
whom are now deceased.
Survivors are two grandchildren, Viola and William Wacek of Wittenburg, Wis.
The body may be viewed from Tuesday noon until the hour of the services at the
funeral home.
