Edward C. Tisler, 46, of 1013 North 21st St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly of
a heart attack late Thursday afternoon. He was mowing the lawn when stricken.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o’clock at Holy Innocents Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Anthony Stefl of Green Bay, a cousin of Mr. Tisler, will officiate and
interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Tisler was born in Franklin in 1907 and farmed near Menchalville until 1946
when he located in Manitowoc. He was employed by the Manitowoc Equipment Works.
He was a member of the ZCBJ lodge of Kellnersville.
In 1926 he married Miss Mary Zeman. She survives with four daughters, Mrs. Robert
Schipper, Mrs. Merrill Kimmel and Mary Ann of Manitowoc, Mrs. Duane Schneider of
Sturgeon Bay; his mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. John Schanda of
Kellnersville; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Sauer, Mrs. Joseph Duckart and Mrs. Ray
Holzshuh of Manitowoc and Mrs. Mae Pfeffer of Neenah; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday, where the rosary will
be recited at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
