Helen A. Schipper Kreft, age 86, of 2224 LaFollette Avenue, Manitowoc, died late Sunday evening, April 28, 2013 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on January 11, 1927 in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Zeman) Tisler. On July 8, 1947 she married Robert Schipper at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in August of 1994. She later married Greg Kreft on November 26, 1999 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in September 2009. Helen was employed at Schuette Bros. Department Store for many years. Helen was a member of the Lions Club and a former member of the Christian Women at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law: Roger & Sally Schipper, Algoma, Kenneth & Jeanne Schipper, Manitowoc, Dale & Joanne Schipper, Menasha, David & Lori Schipper, Holmen; three daughters and sons-in-law: Judy & Don Wollersheim, Manitowoc, Jeanne & Emil Blahnik, Manitowoc, Carol & Eric Nystrom, Eagan, MN; 13 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; three sisters: Lucille Schneider, Ocalo, FL, Caroline Behnke, Ocala, FL, Mary Ann Doucha, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law: Barb (Leon) Kabat, Shawano, Doris (Don) Staudt, Florida; a brother-in-law: Glen Joslin, Arizona; and an aunt: Grace Boness, Manitowoc. Also surviving is a special friend: Joyce Ayotte, Manitowoc; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Dale Schipper Jr.; three brothers-in-law: Duane Schneider, Robert Behnke, Tony Kreft; and a sister-in-law: Mary Ann Joslin.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William Van Dynhoven with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. led by Deacon Paul Kieffer. Friends may also call Thursday morning at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until prayers at 12:30 p.m.
