Joseph Thor, 80, of Denmark, died early this morning at the Holy Family
hospital after an illness of a year. He was a patient at the hospital for
about three weeks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.. at the Pfeffer funeral
home and at 9 o'clock at St. Boniface Catholic church. Burial will be in
Evergreen cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer Funeral home
from 3 p.m. Thursday until the hour of the funeral on Saturday.
Mr. Thor was born in Bohemia on June 15, 1859 and came to America when he
was two years old. The family settled immediately in Kewaunee county. Mr.
Thor married Frances Bouril 58 years ago and the family moved to Denmark
25 years ago.
Survivors are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Sporer of this city and
Miss Rose Thor of Chicago; three sons, Wenzel of Westboro, Wis., Joseph of
Miwlaukee and Adolph of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Anna Forst of
Cicero, Ill.; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
